Our onsite Occupational Therapist provides occupational therapy sessions and games to help the children learn ways to manage everyday tasks such as eating, toileting, dressing and self-care.
She also helps individual children, where appropriate, to improve their fine motor skills, e.g. tying shoe laces, fastening buttons, using cutlery or gross motor skills such as sitting at the table or coordinating arms or legs.
She can also:
- advise on making adjustments to children’s furniture or wheelchairs
- recommend equipment and aids to support their independence and self-confidence
- contribute to multi-disciplinary assessment for Education, Health and Care Plans.
