Everything was great at CPotential. We had a great experience during Freddie’s intensive therapy block. Exercises were just the right level of challenge and we’ve seen great progress over just two weeks. Our highlight was Freddie walking for 15 minutes on the treadmill.” Freddie’s mum
When and where will the assessment take place?
We conduct assessments online via our telehealth platform and will do our best to offer you an appointment as soon as possible.
Who does the assessment and how long does it take?
One (or more) of our qualified clinicians will lead the assessment online. It usually lasts 45 minutes, but please allow up to one hour.
What do I need to show?
- any relevant documentation, e.g. recent educational and/or medical reports
- any equipment or aids your child uses daily
What happens during the assessment?
During the assessment, our specialists will engage with your child through observation, interaction, and assessment to understand their developmental strengths, challenges, and needs. The process involves discussions with parent carers and incorporates play-based or task-oriented activities to gain insights into your child’s behaviour, communication, motor skills, and emotional wellbeing.
Parent carers are fully involved throughout the process, and encouraged to voice their concerns and goals, as the CPotential team works together to develop a personalised integrated therapy plan tailored to the unique needs of your child and family.
How soon will my child be able to start sessions?
We’ll let you know within two weeks of the assessment whether we can tailor a suitable therapy plan to meet your child’s needs.
How much does an assessment cost?
£45 (payable in advance). This initial fee provides access to all CPotential services. Please also see our baseline fees here.
