Ryan is three and a half years old. He was born premature and has been diagnosed with global development delay. This means he has difficulty with balance, coordination, walking independently and communication.
He’s been coming with his mum, Jenya, once a week to group sessions at CPotential since February 2019.
Jenya says: “We’d been on a waiting list for another Conductive Education centre outside London for several months and then we had the opportunity to move to London.
“Ryan’s physiotherapist at Mile End Hospital told us about CPotential. I googled it, asked for an assessment and got offered a place quickly. Now, we both look forward to coming here.
“I think Conductive Education has already helped Ryan physically – he sees it all as playing games without realizing that he’s actually working very hard! He loves crawling through the tunnel and walking along the bars. The Conductors are ever so approachable, and they’ve shown me how to carry on the activities at home.
“Ryan can now get up from sitting with less support and is steadier on his feet, which means I can relax a little bit more. It’s helped with his attention span and being with the other children in the group is also good for his social skills.”
“This is an amazing place for the children, where professional and super-friendly Conductors are helping children with various levels of needs to meet their potential. It is a great place for parents too, as nothing makes a parent happier than seeing their children making progress and having fun at the same time. Facilities at the Centre are excellent and the Conductors always vary activities to stimulate children’s interest and motivation. The list can go on!”
