Help put children at the heart of Government spending

  • There are over a million disabled children in the UK, 33% more than a decade ago. Yet fewer disabled children than ever before are currently getting support.
  • Only three in a hundred families of disabled children think the health and care services available to their children are adequate
  • The number of children with special educational needs who are awaiting provision has more than doubled since 2010.

These are just three of the stark findings the Disabled Children’s Partnership published this summer that showed there’s a £1.5 billion funding gap for health and social care services needed by disabled children. This means tens of thousands are missing out on vital help that enables them to do things other children take for granted like eat, talk, leave the house, have fun and attend school.

The Partnership has today launched a petition and an open letter to the Prime Minister and the Chancellor of the Exchequer calling for the Government to urgently put children at the heart of its spending decisions.

CPotential is proud to support the Partnership.

We’ve signed the petition and invite you to sign it too.
