**Exciting Update on Emily’s Walking Challenge!**
Emily’s inspiring walking challenge takes place on the Long Walk in Windsor from 11th to 13th November. To mark her incredible achievement, don’t miss her feature on *The One Show* on BBC One, airing Wednesday, 13th November, from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

This year, BBC Children in Need has teamed up with The One Show to welcome back the epic fundraiser – The Challenge Squad.
The Challenge Squad is made up of four inspirational young people who have benefitted from BBC Children in Need funding, who will be championed by Alex Jones, Roman Kemp, and Nikki Fox, plus more celebrity supporters to be announced very soon, as they undertake incredible challenges to help make a difference to young lives.
One of those young people is Emily, from North London.
As announced on The One Show recently, Emily, 21, who was born premature and has cerebral palsy and now uses a wheelchair and walking sticks to assist with her mobility, will undertake the Long Walk to Windsor Castle, with the support of her family and BBC News Disability Correspondent and Watchdog on The One Show host Nikki Fox.
The cerebral palsy affects Emily’s ability to move and get around so the walk to Windsor Castle will be testament to Emily’s drive and determination.
Emily began attending CPotential, a BBC Children in Need supported charity from the age of three which helps young people like Emily to strengthen their body and improve movement. BBC Children in Need funding allows CPotential to continue its music therapy programme which promotes emotional expression, reduces stress and develops communication skills.
With her new found confidence and independence from attending CPotential, Emily has followed her dream to study Law at University and hopes to specialise in Human Rights Law to advocate for disabled people who face discrimination.

On being a part of the Challenge Squad, Emily said:
“In a world designed for able bodied people, growing up with a disability can be extremely isolating. Unfortunately, many young people with disabilities like myself face certain barriers to opportunities. BBC Children in Need funding made a huge difference to my life and my time spent at CPotential has transformed my life, in helping me to become strong, independent and driven to make positive change.”
Nikki Fox who will be championing Emily on her challenge said:
“Every single young person in the Challenge Squad has such an incredible story. It is a total honour and privilege for me to support Emily on her journey as she undertakes an incredible challenge to raise money to transform the realities of so many families and young people across the UK.”
