Fundraising at home
Whether you had fundraising plans ready to go, or are looking for new ways to support CPotential, these uncertain times may have affected your activities, but don’t let that stop you in your tracks.
Now’s the time to make your fundraising a huge success by turning it into an at-home virtual fundraiser. Host it with friends and family over video chat, FaceTime, Skype, Google Hangout or other online platforms. Get everyone involved in a virtual coffee morning, virtual bake or cook-a-long, or an online movie night. You could have a go at a virtual craft evening, quiz night or at home sports day.
Or why not have a go at your own virtual challenge event? If you’re a keen runner, cyclist or walker, set yourself a distance challenge and an amount of time to complete it in, and ask people to donate. You could ask for sponsorship to camp in your garden for a week, or why not a sponsored singing day – everything you would usually say, you have to sing!
A quick challenge
If you’ve got a need for speed, and you prefer a sprint rather than a marathon, you could set yourself a time trial challenge and ask people to sponsor you to complete a certain distance in a set time. It doesn’t have to just be limited to cycling, running or walking, you could decide to ask for sponsorship to hop on one leg non-stop for an hour. Or dance continuously for a few hours – this could be a great one for the whole family to get involved with! Or if you’re a real chatterbox, how about a sponsored silence?
Take your time
Why not set yourself a challenge to complete over a few weeks. This could be a virtually cycling from Land’s End to John O Groats but keeping local. Or running a marathon in your local park.
You could even get your family/friends involved and have a group fundraising and distance target that you want to reach over a weekend/week/month. This will give you lots of time to fundraise and the more people involved, the more you could raise for CPotential!
Have fun with everyone and ask for a small donation to be made to your Giving Page.
How do I set up a virtual challenge?
Simply set up a JustGiving Page, enter details about your challenge and that you will be supporting CPotential and you’re ready to go!
Spread the word and let all of your family and friends know, shout about it on social media and keep people updated about your progress.
Good luck and happy fundraising!
Please get in touch if you would like any support with your fundraising challenge.
