Music Therapy session with 3 children - CPotential

We are looking for a qualified and highly experienced Music Therapist looking to take on an exciting new part-time opportunity within a dynamic integrated multidisciplinary therapy team.

  • Salary: £34,172-£40,057 pro rata, dependent on experience
  • Contract type: Permanent
  • Days/Hours: Part-time – 2 days/16 hours per week – including selected school holiday weekly intensive blocks. Some flexibility in daily working hours may be possible depending on clinical need
  • Location: CPotential, 143 Coppetts Road, London N10 1JP and community settings when required.

Managing your own caseload, you will work alongside our current Music Therapist, delivering a professional therapy service to children and young people with movement disorders, due to conditions such as cerebral palsy, global developmental delay, and acquired brain injury.

Experience of working with children (0-18) who have complex neurological and genetic conditions encompassing a wide range of needs is essential for this role, as is communicating clearly with parents and carers about music therapy and the specific role it holds in their child’s care.

You will be confident, passionate and driven to work with clients with these varied and complex needs, setting combined goals with the team and carrying out careful and appropriate assessment, intervention and evaluation to ensure each child reaches their full potential.

Music Therapist with child at CPotentialTaking a lead in driving the charity strategy forward, you will be keen to make recommendations and service-wide innovations and implement these changes.

You will also be responsible for your own supervision and delegation of responsibilities to more junior staff and therapy assistants.
