Special People logoSpecial People Partnership Limited, trading as Special People, provides flexible, person-centred care and support to children, young people, adults and older people. We specialise in supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, profound and multiple learning disabilities, complex health conditions, sensory and communication needs, and other individual support requirements.

Working across London and surrounding areas, we support individuals and families, local authorities, schools, NHS organisations, Integrated Care Boards, Continuing Healthcare teams, social workers, case managers and people arranging care privately.

Special People has been providing care and support since 1998. The organisation was established in response to the need for more flexible, reliable and compassionate services for individuals with additional and complex needs and their families. Today, under the leadership of owner and CEO Constantine Bentai, Special People continues to build on this experience while strengthening its clinical governance, workforce development and specialist service provision.

Special People is registered with the Care Quality Commission and currently holds an overall rating of Good. Every package of support is individually designed around the person’s assessed needs, preferences, communication methods, strengths, routines and goals.

Our approach promotes safety, dignity, independence, choice, community participation and improved quality of life.

We place particular importance on carefully matching support workers with the people they support. Matching considers experience, specialist competencies, communication, personality, cultural preferences and shared interests. Support workers undergo safer recruitment checks and receive mandatory, role-specific and individualised training appropriate to the needs of the person they are supporting.

Support can be arranged on a short-term, long-term or flexible basis, including individual visits, regular community sessions, full-day support, 1:1 or 2:1 provision, overnight care and more intensive packages where required.

Our commitment

At the heart of Special People is the belief that good care goes beyond practical assistance. We take time to understand each person, listen to their voice, respect their choices and recognise their individual strengths.

We work in partnership with families, commissioners and professionals to establish clear outcomes, review progress and adapt support when circumstances or needs change. Our aim is to provide safe, dependable and compassionate care that enables every person to live a more independent, fulfilling and connected life.

Special People is also investing in the development of the Special People Training Academy. The Academy will strengthen specialist workforce development, competency assessment and continuous professional learning across complex care and community support services.
