“Ageing man all too familiar with concept of marginal pains aims to compete 100 miles over hilly course.”

That’s how Alexandra Palace resident and keen cyclist Andrew Kaye titles his MyDonate page. He’s in training to fundraise by bike for us in the Velo South sportive on Sunday 23 September.

Andrew says: “During my first year in university (all too long ago now) I spent a summer in Zimbabwe teaching children with cerebral palsy, which was a great experience. I’ve fundraised for other charities but then I heard about CPotential through its Muswell Hill shop.  I’m thrilled to support this local charity doing fantastic work with disabled children.”

The circular route in West Sussex will provide him with panoramic views and picturesque villages – plus rather a lot of steep hills.

And what aspect of the ride is he most looking forward to?  “The finishing line” he says, with feeling.

Please show your support for Andrew’s fundraising challenge.
