Thanks Ted – Duke of Edinburgh Volunteer
In celebration of National Volunteers’ Week from the 1st to 7th June, we’d like to say a big thank you to Ted Cook of Fortismere School, N10.
Ted has been volunteering with the charity every Saturday over the last 3 months as part of his Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award. Led by Conductors, Mate Papp and Will Van Woerdekom, he has been learning about our Conductive Education rehabilitation method and assisting and taking part in session activities with groups of children and young people with movement disorders.
During Ted’s time at the Centre, he has learned more about a charity organisation, different types of disability and the varying techniques of improving movement, balance, coordination, communication and independence in children and young people living with disabilities.
We wish Ted lots of luck and success with his remaining strands to achieving his Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.
