Thank you to Meli Ibishi, Neil Martin, Chris Bladd, Mehmet Adali, Arban Shehu and our wonderful Chair of Trustees, John Martin (third from the right) who took part in this Canal Cycle along the Lee Navigation Canal for us on Sunday 7 October.
The ride, which John planned to coincide with World Cerebral Palsy Day on 6 October, was postponed one day due to poor weather. The sun shone on Sunday but there were still some dramas to contend with due to the previous day’s downpours.
John’s bike got stuck in a muddy rut and he made an unpleasant acquaintance with a fence and Meli met an unexpected fallen tree. Heroes all, they kept going to finish the ride. Well done to you all.
John is an old hand at fundraising bike challenges, having previously pedalled across Holland, Germany, Hungary and Denmark to raise funds for our services.
