Millions Of Reasons
The cerebral palsy community is made up of millions of individuals who have creative ideas and lived experiences. These millions of reasons help to create better, more accessible technology solutions this World Cerebral Palsy Day – 6 October 2022.
In support of worldcpday.org, we’re calling on people living with cerebral palsy, friends, family and supporters to submit ideas for accessible technology for a chance to win $5,000 USD.
How to get involved and support the campaign
Whether you’re a person with cerebral palsy or a friend, family member, colleague or supporter of someone living with cerebral palsy, there is something everyone can get involved in!
- Post to social media about the campaign, remember to tag @worldcpday and use the hashtags #WorldCPDay #MillionsOfReasons
- Submit an idea for an accessible technology solution here and invite others to do the same from 29 August – 29 September 2022
- View the gallery of ideas and share it with others
- Vote for your favourite ideas from 29 September – 6 October 2022
- Raise awareness about the importance of accessible technology solutions for people with cerebral palsy and the wider disability community.

About Cerebral Palsy
There are more than 17 million people across the world living with cerebral palsy. Another 350 million people are closely connected to a child or adult with cerebral palsy. It is the most common physical disability in childhood. Cerebral palsy is a permanent disability that affects movement. Its impact can range from a weakness in one hand, to almost a complete lack of voluntary movement.
It is a complex disability:
- 1 in 4 children with cerebral palsy cannot talk
- 1 in 4 cannot walk
- 1 in 2 have an intellectual disability
- 1 in 4 have epilepsy.
Cerebral palsy is a lifelong disability and there is no known cure.
